Chapin Beach Road

Among the most scenic of Dennis' 16 beaches, Mayflower Beach is popular among people of all ages. It features a boardwalk that stretches from the large parking lot to the beach below. At low tide, hundreds of feet of tidal flats are revealed. There is a lifeguard on duty and public restrooms.
Scargo Hill Road
Princess Beach is a small, freshwater beach that is popular among families and older couples. There are nice views and roped off swimming area. Children also enjoy the playground. Princess Beach gives you a private atmosphere, Dennis' larger beaches can't deliver.
This small beach is popular among teens. There are stairs down to the beach and a rock jetty. This small beach tends to fill up quickly, so get there early. The beach closes at 11pm. There are no restrooms.
Dr. Lord Road
This freshwater beach on Scargo Lake is ideal for children. There is a roped off swimming area, playgrounds, restrooms, picnic area, and lifeguards. This sandy-bottom lake is surrounded by woods and is stocked for fishing.

This long beach has a decent amount of space. The sand is soft and there are not many shells or rocks. The small waves and short walk to the beach from the parking lot make it a favorite among families.

Set down from the mian road, Sea Street Beach feels like you're secluded. There are stairs down to the beach. Calm waters with tiny waves. This beach is popular with all ages because of the gorgeous views.

West Dennis Beach is popular amongst windsurfers and kite fliers. Probably the most popular beach, there is over a mile of shoreline. There is a playground for kids and a large amount of parking.
This large beach is very popular with just about everyone. There are nice views, soft sand, and lifeguards on duty. It's a short walk from the parking lot to the beach.

Cold Storage Beach is a perfect spot tow watch boats and walk rock jetties. This large beach has calm waters. There are restrooms and lifeguards on duty.
Harborview Beach offers clean sand and calm water. Parking is limited so get there early. The small waves make it a great place for younger children just learning how to swim.
Students in Dennis attend Dennis-Yarmouth Regional School District schools with neighboring Yarmouth. Pre-Kindergarten to 3rd graders attend Ezra H. Baker Innovation School in West Dennis. 4th and 5th graders attend the Nathaniel H. Wixon Innovation School. The Wixon School added 40 minutes to their school day to include an enrichment block that is individualized for each student. Beyond their traditional school day and enrichment block, the Wixon School offers a myriad of extracurriculars. 6th and 7th graders attend Mattacheese Middle School in West Yarmouth. 8th - 12th graders attend Dennis-Yarmouth Regional High School. DYRHS provides a wide range of educational opportunities as well as many extracurricular activities including a first class music program.
